Many parents are planning to take their children out of Ukraine, the UNIAN agency reported, citing the director of one of the distance trade schools, Vladimir Stashko.
According to him, if before the majority of requests for distance education concerned boys in the 10-11th grade (parents wanted to take them abroad before they came of age), now parents of children apply regardless of their age and gender.
As the reason for this trend, Stashko cites the desire of families to permanently move abroad, the agency specifies. In addition, many 11th-graders do not plan to take the matriculation exams, as they have no intention of enrolling in Ukrainian universities.
„In some classes there are 90% of such children. Usually 27 out of 30 will go abroad. Most likely forever. But it's not because their parents will send them to the best universities to get an excellent education. They will go to study anywhere, as long as it is not in Ukraine”, UNIAN quotes the director.
