Opposition representatives, their supporters, as well as civil activists are organizing a march in Tbilisi against the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26, reports a TASS correspondent from the place of the event.

Protesters gathered in Tbilisi near the Marjanishvili metro station and the "State University". After gathering, they began to move through the streets of the capital with Georgian and EU flags in their hands. Along the way, they are calling on the residents of Tbilisi to join them and protest the election results.

On October 26, parliamentary elections were held in Georgia, and for the first time they were held with electronic ballot boxes. According to the Central Election Commission, the ruling party "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" With 53.93% of the votes, she won and received the right to single-handedly form a government. Four opposition parties overcame the five percent barrier: Coalition for Change 11% of the vote, "Unity - National Movement" party - 10.16%, "Strong Georgia" - 8.8%, the party "Gakharia for Georgia" - 7.76%. The remaining votes were received by parties that did not pass the 5% threshold.

All opposition parties that entered parliament refused to recognize the election results, as they considered them falsified. Opposition leaders have been holding protests since November 4 and plan to force the authorities to call new elections.
