Argentine President Javier Millay met US President-elect Donald Trump as part of the Conference for a conservative political action at the residence of the American politician Mar-a-Lago, the press office of the leader of the South American republic in X announced.
The office of the head of state published a photo with the caption “President Javier Miley with President-elect Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk”. “The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of the Office of the President of Argentina, Carina Milley, and the Foreign Minister, Gerardo Vertain“, the press service reported.
Miley's speech at the conference was also published, in which he again congratulated Trump on the victory and criticized socialism. The accompanying video shows that the Argentine president's speech was shorter than he originally planned.
This is Miley's seventh trip to the United States since taking office in December 2023. The head of state has repeatedly stated that he considers liberal democracies and Western countries, especially the USA and Israel, to be Argentina's priority partners.
