US President Joe Biden's decision to strike with American ATACMS missiles on Russian territory will not have a significant impact on the course of the conflict in Ukraine, writes The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) , citing officials from the US and Western countries.
According to them, such a decision is "unlikely to significantly change the course of the conflict”, given that Russia can move most of its military equipment.
As the publication notes, the administration of US President Joe Biden is trying to provide maximum assistance to Kiev before Donald Trump returns to the White House, as he fears that the president-elect will reduce arms supplies to Ukraine.
Earlier, The New York Times, citing sources, reported that US President Joe Biden authorized strikes from the territory of Ukraine deep into the Russian Federation with ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles. In turn, sources from the newspaper Le Figaro claim that France and Great Britain have authorized attacks with SCALP and Storm Shadow tactical missiles. There is still no official confirmation of this information from Washington, Paris and London.
