Poll: Most Ukrainians support talks to freeze conflict with Russia - 1

According to a sociological survey conducted by the center for "Social Monitoring" in Ukraine, 64% of those polled support starting negotiations with Russia to freeze hostilities. They point out that the heavy losses suffered by the country necessitate this approach. 31% of the survey participants are against this option, while the rest have not taken a position, reports Focus.

The results reveal further differences of opinion about the ultimate goal of the war. Only 39% of respondents believe that victory should include the return of all territories within the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine since 1991. The majority (56%) disagree with this statement, which highlights the contradictory attitudes among Ukrainian society.

An additional survey conducted by the American company Gallup reveals that more than half of Ukrainians (52%) are ready to accept territorial concessions in exchange for peace. 38% of the respondents are of the opposite opinion, and the remaining 10% have not decided.
