Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he visited the front line in the southeastern Zaporozhye region, Reuters reported, as quoted by BTA.
He added on social networks that he met with soldiers from the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade, which operates HYMARS missiles.
„These fighters protect our Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions from the occupiers. It is an honor to be with our soldiers today, to congratulate them on the Day of the Ground Forces and on the recent Day of the Missile and Artillery Forces and to honor them with awards," Zelensky wrote, as quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
He thanked the soldiers for their service and for protecting Ukraine and its people.
„May the HYMARS always work without fail and hit enemy targets”, Zelensky said.
Ukraine celebrates Ground Forces Day annually on December 12.
Meanwhile, rescuers in Zaporozhye pulled the body of a woman from under the rubble of a clinic destroyed by a Russian missile strike. With this, the number of victims from the attack on December 10 reached 11 people, notes Ukrinform.
