Maintaining a safe and stable region in the Western Balkans is a priority for NATO and the United States, the US mission to the alliance said today on its profile in Ex, BTA reports.
„This week we hosted six experts from the Western Balkans – from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia and Montenegro – at NATO headquarters. In doing so, we highlighted our political dialogue and practical cooperation with the Western Balkans“, the US mission said in a statement.
The publication also states that during the visit of experts from the region to Washington, the mission's priorities were outlined – engaging young people, ensuring regional peace and stability, and countering malign influences, including disinformation, hybrid and cyber threats.
The US Mission to NATO also noted that the group of experts met with NATO officials, who presented their policy recommendations and exchanged ideas on important steps needed for regional cooperation and transatlantic integration.
