Zelensky ordered Syrsky to hold Pokrovsk and Kursk region until Trump's inauguration - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has ordered the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), General Oleksandr Syrsky, to hold the city of Pokrovsk and the Kursk region at all costs until the inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, Focus reports.

The requirement is aimed at ensuring stabilization of the front and enabling Ukraine to begin negotiations with Russia from a position of strength, rather than as a country that cedes territories.

Syrsky calls for reserves

According to sources from the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Resident", Syrsky has requested urgent reinforcements and new reserves to hold critical territories. Despite the army's efforts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' reserves are dwindling, and any new enemy offensive could lead to a serious crisis on the front.

Mobilization Problems

A source in the General Staff of Ukraine also stated that the mobilization plan in the country has not been successfully implemented, requiring the involvement of security forces in the process of forming new military brigades. Ukraine is increasingly depleting its resources and needs new recruits to withstand pressure from the Russian side.

Donald Trump's inauguration is scheduled for January 20, which means that after that day, the military situation may undergo changes related to the political dynamics in the United States and its support for Ukraine.
