Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, after eight years of litigation, managed to agree on the terms of concluding their divorce proceedings, People magazine reported.
The divorce documents were signed by the former husband and wife on December 30. “Angelina is exhausted, but she feels relieved that it is all over“, the publication quotes James Simon, Jolie's lawyer.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie married in 2014 in France after several years of relationship, but in 2016 the actress filed for divorce. Their marriage officially ended in 2019, but the couple has so far been unable to agree on the terms of dividing their assets, as well as on the custody of their six children, three of whom they adopted. One of the disputed assets was the Château Miraval vineyard in Provence, which the couple purchased in 2008. The parties subsequently accused each other of violating agreements regarding the management of this asset.
Meanwhile, The Associated Press indicates that the agreement reached will have to be approved by the court; details of the transaction between the parties have not yet been disclosed.
