Thieves stole money and jewelry worth one million euros from a home in the northern part of Athens on December 26, the online edition of the Greek newspaper “Kathimerini“ reported today, quoted by BTA.
The home belongs to a 62-year-old woman from a prominent Greek business family. The crime was discovered after the owner returned home after a vacation.
According to police information, the thieves broke into the single-family home by opening a window and then took out a safe containing 30-40 thousand euros in cash, along with a collection of jewelry. The stolen goods are estimated at approximately one million euros.
An investigation is underway to find the perpetrators.
