"Exciting news for Bulgaria and the eurozone! See the first photos of the design of the 1 euro coin in Bulgaria", wrote the President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde, showing in a Facebook post photos of Bulgarian 1 euro coins.
"Although we will have to wait a little longer to see these coins in circulation, this preview gives us a glimpse into the beautiful national side chosen by the Bulgarian National Bank – the national central bank of Bulgaria.
The design maintains continuity with the current Bulgarian coins and includes symbols deeply connected to our national heritage and loved by the Bulgarian people," the ECB head's publication also states.
