The Western countries will divide Ukraine's military needs into several types and will designate NATO countries responsible for supplies in each of these areas.
This was stated by a senior Pentagon official at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to him, eight "coalitions of opportunity" have been created within the donor group - each of them will be responsible for ensuring a separate aspect of Ukraine's military needs. Coordination in each of these subgroups is carried out by at least two NATO countries.
"The leaders of these coalitions will have to approve roadmaps that will formulate Ukraine's needs and goals until 2027 in areas such as air power, armored vehicles, artillery, demining, drones, integrated missiles and air defense, information technology and maritime security“, explained a Pentagon spokesman.
The 25th meeting of the group of Western countries coordinating arms supplies to Ukraine will be held at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on January 9. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will participate in it.
