Mobilization does not provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary personnel, said the commander-in-chief of the country's armed forces Oleksandr Syrsky, commenting on the reports of sending specialists from the Air Force to the infantry.
“These are definitely experienced specialists, in whom investment has been made and who, in fact, cannot be replaced“, the Ukrainian “Channel 24“ quotes him as saying. - On the other hand, we generally need this at the front, we need to create sufficient numbers in our mechanized brigades. Mobilization capabilities, unfortunately, do not cover this need.“
From February 2022 general mobilization has been announced and repeatedly extended in Ukraine.
On May 18, 2024, a law came into force in the country, which made it possible to call up hundreds of thousands more Ukrainians to the army. The authorities are doing everything possible to ensure that men of military age do not evade service.
However, in recent months, the pace of replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has slowed down and the question of a critical shortage of people in the army has arisen. Under these conditions, as reported by the Ukrainian media, specialists from other branches of the army are being intensively transferred to the infantry.
