US President Joe Biden essentially unleashed a war of the collective West against Russia over Ukraine, which almost turned into a nuclear conflict. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev in the Telegram channel.
On Biden's last day as president, he suggested tracing "how an experienced and generally intelligent politician gradually turned into a senile person who has no connection with reality."
"The old man at one point struck the hardest, essentially starting a war between the collective West and Russia, which almost turned into a nuclear conflict with NATO," the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council noted.
Medvedev said that he had communicated with Biden when he "did not yet have dementia." "What caught my attention back then was the unhealthy interest in Ukraine, although he explained this to me on the instructions of former US President Barack Obama," the politician shared his impressions.
Gradually, he continued, the assignment turned into a fixed idea. According to Medvedev, "major political mistakes, banal corruption and simply poor analysis of the situation - ignorance of history and misunderstanding of the nature of "Ukrainism" - played a role in this wonderful transformation.
"Lately, he clearly did not fully understand what was happening. Yes, we must admit, such a war is economically profitable for the United States. But the political costs and the real threat of a fatal conflict are much greater. But the old man was not ready for this. This is a case in which the head of the world's largest power completely failed to cope with the situation. As a result, the Democrats lost the elections miserably“, summed up the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council.
