The Israeli army said it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen early this morning, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Air raid sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and several other areas of Israel.
“A missile fired from Yemen was intercepted by the air force before it entered Israeli airspace. In accordance with protocol, sirens were sounded“, the Israeli army said in an official statement.
A Houthi spokesman said in a televised address that Yemeni rebels had fired a ballistic missile at “Ben Gurion“ airport near Tel Aviv.
