Russia carried out another drone attack on Ukraine overnight, injuring at least 10 people, including four children, and damaging residential buildings in the town of Kropyvnytskyi, Reuters reported, citing local authorities, BTA reports.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down 75 of 171 Russian drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said. The signal of 63 drones was lost after electronic warfare equipment was used against them.
“Kropyvnytskyi survived the most massive enemy attack“, said regional governor Arkady Raykovich. "Peaceful residential buildings were destroyed - private houses and multi-storey buildings," he added.
The National Police reported that 10 people were injured, including four children.
Ukrainian authorities posted on the Telegram app photos from the city showing columns of smoke rising above buildings in several places.
Ukrinform notes that the drones were sent from the Russian cities of Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda on the occupied Crimean peninsula.
The enemy's attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported in a post on "Telegram".
As a result of the Russian attack, damage was caused in Kirovograd, Sumy and Donetsk regions.
