Police officers shot a man at a Berlin subway station after he stabbed and killed another man during an argument, a police spokesman said, DPA reported, quoted by dariknews.bg.
The clash between the men took place in the afternoon at the "Sophie-Charlotte-Platz" subway station in the western part of the German capital.
One attacked the other with a knife and seriously injured him, after which the victim died
The police spokesman said that the attacker fled onto a nearby main road. He threatened the officers by raising a knife. The officers then shot the man several times, who was taken to hospital. He later underwent emergency surgery.
It is unclear what led to the argument.
The investigation is being handled by the "Homicide" department.
