In a Russian attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region on an electric locomotive, the driver was killed and his assistant was injured, Ukrinform reported, citing a publication on “Telegram” of the Ukrainian state railway company "Ukrzaliznytsia", BTA reports.
The 52-year-old train driver was killed in a drone attack, the head of the military administration in the region, Sergiy Lysak, said, adding that two people were injured.
Lysak also said that two people were killed and several others were injured in drone strikes in Kamianske.
The Donetsk region prosecutor's office reported that a 66-year-old woman was killed in her home in a cluster bomb attack in Konstantinovka. There were also wounded in the Russian strikes, including three volunteers who were helping to evacuate people, the prosecutor's office added.
The Zaporizhzhia region authorities reported that a 64-year-old man was killed in a cluster bomb attack that caused heavy damage around a construction site.
There have also been reports of Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region. Four people were injured and several residential buildings were damaged in the city of Chukhuyev.
The Ukrainian air defense reported a total of 35 Russian drone attacks, which is less than the previous day and significantly less than in the past few days, DPA notes.
According to the air force, 11 drones were destroyed. Eighteen drones hit five locations. Six of the flying objects were decoys without explosives.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported this morning that 73 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed. Bryansk, Orel and Moscow regions were particularly hard hit by the attacks. There are currently no reports of casualties or damage.
The operation of Vnukovo airport has been temporarily suspended.
Russia has been waging a destructive war against Ukraine for more than three years, DPA notes. Ukraine also carries out drone attacks against targets inside Russia.
