Emphasis is placed on the need to strengthen multilateralism through diplomacy, dialogue and partnerships. The event in New York is a symbol of unity and the pursuit of a more just, sustainable and peaceful world, with participants underlining the importance of the UN in building global cooperation.
This year, Bulgaria celebrates 70 years as a committed member of the UN, actively promoting the organization's core values. Our country remains an advocate for peace based on the principles of sovereignty, human rights and the rule of law. Bulgaria believes that the voices of young people shape our collective future, therefore their participation is vital for building inclusive and sustainable societies.
In this context, Bulgaria strongly supports the UN Youth Programme and remains committed to youth action through initiatives such as the Pact for the Future. Our country views the “UN-80“ initiative as a timely opportunity to revitalize the Organization, enhance its accountability and effectiveness in advancing the 2030 Agenda.
Its success will reaffirm our collective commitment to a predictable and rules-based multilateral order - one in which no one is left behind.
