The "Progressive Bulgaria" coalition strives for an independent majority, new faces and concrete solutions to real problems, without entering into compromise coalitions. Thus, Prof. Ivo Hristov, former chief of staff of the President Rumen Radev (2017 - 2026), outlined the goals and principles of the new political formation in "Speak Now".

"We will fight for the trust of Bulgarian citizens, in the hope of having an absolute majority of 120 votes in parliament. Let us not put ourselves in the need to enter into discrediting compromises and coalitions, this depends on the citizens. If they do not vote for this new formation, then they de facto accept to remain in the current erasm", he stated.

According to Hristov, the coalition will present a comprehensive political platform covering various spheres of government.

"Within days... as soon as the candidates are registered, the platform of "Progressive Bulgaria" will be announced. I think it is normal for this type of political application - in detail, by spheres", he stated.

He explained that the coalition will not be strictly defined as left or right, but will be guided by practical solutions to real problems.

"The party will seek practical solutions to real problems, without burdening itself with preliminary applications that it is left or right. This does not mean at all that there are no left and right solutions. But in the current situation, in which the left in Europe is in a very difficult state, and the right has taken over almost the entire terrain, to claim that you are left-wing is very difficult and unrealistic. And to say that you are right-wing means that you will not do anything outside the conformist solutions that are proposed. In my opinion, one should approach it according to the case", said Hristov.

According to him, the coalition will include mainly new faces, striving to offer fresh ideas and restore public trust in the political system. He himself does not intend to run and has no plans to be on the lists.

"Mostly new, as far as I am aware. There will hardly be those who jump from party to party," said Hristov.
