„The entire financing model in the education system must be changed.“. This was stated by the leader of the list of „BSP-UNITED LEFT“ Prof. Nikolay Tsonkov in the program „Delnici“ on Eurocom.
According to him, the current model of delegated budget creates inequalities and does not guarantee equal access to quality education, with the differences between schools being particularly problematic. As a basic priority, Tsonkov also noted the need for children not to drop out of the education system at an early age.
In the context of regional policy, he emphasized the serious demographic problems in the Gabrovo region. „When they finish school, young people leave the region. This is a direct result of the lack of sufficient opportunities for realization and a weak connection between education and the local economy.“, emphasized Tsonkov, emphasizing the potential of the Technical University of Gabrovo for retaining personnel in the region.
According to him, quality and accessible education and healthcare are directly dependent on the economic situation of the country. “Currently, inequalities in income and access to services are deepening. As the only left-wing party in these elections, this problem occupies a central place in our program.“, the candidate for People's Representative also said.
Nikolai Tsonkov commented that “for our economy to work, we need competitiveness“. “It is important for Bulgaria to have access to cheap energy raw materials. “, he emphasized.
“Only BSP-OL offers a left-wing policy to solve the problems in education, healthcare and the economy. We will be a pleasant surprise in the elections and a strong corrective in the parliament. A fair Bulgaria is possible and together we can build it – vote with number 5.“, he concluded.
