The security system is very sick and has been asking for reforms for years

For several years, the reputation of the Ministry of the Interior and the services can withstand anything, because it is at zero and has nowhere to collapse.

This opinion was expressed to the BNR by Nikolay Radulov, an expert on national security, former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a former member of parliament.

Nikolay Radulov sees a coincidence of two lines – the fight for contraband channels between Taki and Pascal and "there is no way that in a fight for channels that give tens of millions a month in private hands, in elections that always need more money, this does not affect the political space". For Radulov, this is a "coincidence due to the general criminogenic situation in the country".

"It all started with the shooting of Alexei Petrov. The assembly is his. Some of the persons involved in this whole mess, like the minister, were recommended by him."

The security system is very sick and has been asking for reforms for years, Radulov is categorical.

The former chief secretary of the Ministry of the Interior predicts that things in the Ministry of the Interior will develop according to Stanislavski – in the first act of the play there is a gun and by the end it will go off.

"There are sufficient grounds for the Chief Secretary to enter into a procedural case. He will also drag along Prime Minister Denkov, who, as the person who convinced him to claim that he was forced to testify, is also subject to investigation."

The opinion that elections are won through the Ministry of Interior is not imposed now, but for 30 years. This is partly true. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has some influence during the elections. When the vote brokers are warned, they hide and the election process is a little more decent. The Ministry of Internal Affairs matters, but it is not as definitive as it is necessary in society, comments Radulov.

In his words, we see a chief secretary with addictions - "we see this chief secretary in the photos with criminals". He feels that he cannot stay at his post and has gone on sick leave, added the expert on the case with Zhivko Kotsev.
