The Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs showed that he does not want to comply with the Code of Ethics

The acquaintance of Stefan and Marin Dimitrovi is a problem for senior leaders in the Ministry of Internal Affairs

„The Code of Ethics for civil servants is applicable only to rank-and-file employees , but not for the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, commented in the program “This Morning” Gennady Tenev from the Trade Union Organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

„This Code shall not apply to the Chief Secretary. If the prestige of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is damaged, the most severe punishment is imposed – dismissal. According to the law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this is inapplicable to the chief secretary, because he is appointed and dismissed by decree of the head of state”, he added.

„The acquaintance of Stefan and Marin Dimitrovi is a problem for senior leaders in the Ministry of the Interior. The data is not yet clear. The very fact that such contacts were known and no one took action – the question of internal control in the Ministry of the Interior is raised. Many times the media and citizens have raised the issue of personnel, but internal control is also important, Tenev pointed out.

„The other issue is that someone is proposing these people and standing behind them. How, with what moral values, and what are the consequences for the people who offer them? Our position was that as employees of the Ministry of the Interior and as a trade union organization, we were tired of the experiments that are carried out every six months – changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We don't want to get involved in politics. Resignation is a political act. Kalin Stoyanov is a career person who has knowledge and is easier to work with. It did not start with experiments for “98% reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, which over the years have been on the backs of the employees who carry the negatives”, he stressed.
