Not now the time to reform the tax system, although Bulgaria should think in this direction, but when there is a stable government. This is what he said about the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the world" on Radio Focus Mika Zaikova, economic analyst and financial expert on the occasion of the International Monetary Fund's call for Bulgaria to abolish the flat tax.

Zaikova pointed out that our country is currently in a pre-election situation, and in order for significant and good reforms to happen, a new and stable parliament is needed: "I hope with many new people and a lot more -literate, to have a stable government that will sit down and start making real reforms".

According to the financial expert, the flat tax did not bring any benefits to Bulgaria. Zaikova emphasized that the biggest harm caused by the flat tax is that it generates inequalities. According to her, our country must first solve the more important issues related to the growth of incomes and the attraction of foreign investments. Only then can one think about the abolition of the flat tax, whose share to revenues is only 9%: "I consider the flat tax as a long-term measure, but a temporary measure. It is really high time to think about a reform of the entire tax-insurance system", she also commented.
