On the scandal with the release of the former general secretary Zhivko Kotsev and the subsequent revelations about smuggling channels, Denkov said that he has not yet seen a single proof of his guilt.
"Why aren't photos released of the father and son arrested for smuggling with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, since they are friends? I know this from Boyko Rashkov and from other sources. A picture of the same person with the president came out today. Does this mean the president is covering up channels? The photos don't show anything," Denkov said.
