Deputy from PP-DB Nikola Minchev denied to the BNR that he was involved in the case "Let's keep Coral" :
"I was in no way involved in the delisting of Kiril Petkov from the governing bodies of "Let's keep Coral". For the association itself, I have worked on other cases before, but in this particular case I have not participated in any way.
Earlier in front of the BNR, the chairman of the association Atanas Rusev, whose signature he says was forged, stated that the former parliamentary chief Nikola Minchev was involved in the case.
"If your colleagues from "Bivole" had asked me, I would have told them the same thing", added Minchev.
We remind you that Article 19 paragraph 7 of the Law on Administration states that the Prime Minister, Ministers and Deputy Ministers cannot be members of a management or control body of a non-profit legal entity, commercial company or cooperative.
According to the journalistic investigation, when he was preparing to take office, Kiril Petkov was still a member of the Board of Directors of the association "Let's keep Coral". and this necessitated urgent action.
During the weekend, the site "Bivol" publishes documents he claims
that they were drawn up with a forged signature of the chairman of "Keep Coral" Atanas Rusev.
The first – power of attorney, with which Lena Borislavova can dispose of the affairs of the association. The rest – minutes of a meeting at which a decision was made to dismiss Kiril Petkov from the Board of Directors and appoint Martin Dragulev in his place, and a declaration of authenticity, again with the signatures of Atanas Rusev.
The documents were entered in the Registration Agency with the electronic signature of lawyer Lena Borislavova. From there, they requested additional documents, such as a list of those present at the meeting. It was there, according to the investigation, that more signatures were forged. The accusations are serious, because according to the Criminal Code, the penalty for drawing up a false official document is imprisonment for up to 3 years.
In front of the BNR, Rusev stated that, in addition to Borislavova, another prominent person of the PP was involved in the compilation of documents with false content - the former chairman of the National Assembly, Nikola Minchev.
According to him, the prosecutor's office referred the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior investigated the case for 8 months. But here too there are oddities, claims Rusev.
In the broadcast of BNR "Sunday 150" Kiril Petkov talked about a kompromat war.
As of today, the saga branched off in a new direction. On his Facebook page, Kiril Petkov writes that he knew Atanas Rusev as a kitesurfer and activist of the cause on Coral beach, but he realized that he had a different face in the 22nd year.
Then, as prime minister, together with Lena Borislavova, he handed over a list of 19 persons to the then chief prosecutor, which also included Rumen Nikolov-Pashata – "one of the leading figures of the SIC and a friend and partner in many undertakings of Boyko Borisov,", Petkov claims.
On the same day, Rusev called him angrily and told him that he should not have put Pasha on that list. Petkov replied that he became prime minister in order to change the deep state and it was this person who should be investigated. Rusev hung up on him, and then called Kiril Petkov's father and also shouted at him.
"Who really is Atanas Rusev and whose interests he serves, Who activated him in this well-prepared, pre-scripted, scandal at this very moment," concludes Petkov.
On February 9, the parliament passed a ban on all construction in a 500-meter zone around the Black Sea beaches of Irakli, Karadere and Koral.
Introducers of the changes in the Law on the arrangement of the Black Sea coast were the leaders of the ruling majority parties Kiril Petkov, Boyko Borisov, Hristo Ivanov and Delyan Peevski.
Consideration of the bill was included as an extraordinary item on the agenda. Borisov said that the law was adopted at the request of Kiril Petkov. The opposition accused the rulers of lobbying, and during the debate the question was repeatedly asked - why exactly these 3 beaches were chosen, while the one proposed by the "Vazrazhdane" party was rejected. a list of 41 more to be given the same protection.
The prosecutor's office is checking for documented crimes in the case with "Let's keep Coral"
The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office continues the verification of whether documented crimes have been committed before the Registration Agency related to the management of the association "Let's preserve coral".
On August 11 of last year, a pre-trial proceeding was initiated as to whether false information was submitted in a written message sent electronically by LB to the Registration Agency for the release of KP as a member of the Management Board of the association. It was stated that this happened at a meeting on May 6, 2021, the prosecutor's office announced. At the moment, 10 witnesses have been questioned during the investigation and a report has been requested from the Association "Let's Preserve Coral".
