At its regular meeting today, the Council of Ministers adopted a decree approving additional transfers for unforeseen and/or urgent expenses for preventing, controlling and overcoming the consequences of disasters on the budget of the Municipality of Karlovo. This was announced by the press service of the cabinet, quoted by BTA.

The Decree approves BGN 10,563,512 from the budget of the Municipality of Karlovo for carrying out activities to reduce the risk of disasters, reimbursement of costs for rescue and emergency work carried out during disaster management and for the restoration of infrastructure objects .

BTA recalls that in April of this year, the Municipality of Karlovo announced that the funds allocated to it for the restoration of the infrastructure damaged by the flood of September 2, 2022, have been exhausted. The mayor of Karlovo, Emil Kabaivanov, informed that of the initially requested over BGN 75 million. in the Municipality of Karlovo only BGN 17.6 million were received. The inspections carried out by the State Financial Inspection Agency did not find any violations and concluded that the allocated money was spent legally and as intended.
