Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called it a much better night when her party won Italy's euro vote, compared to the night when two years ago it became clear that she was winning the early parliamentary vote, BTA reported.

Melloni spoke to journalists from Italian media and permanent correspondents of more than 10 European media in Italy at a party event organized at the Hotel "Parco dei Principi" in Rome.

She thanked those who continue to vote for the right and added that she was proud of her party's result in the Euro vote, but also of the result of the “Forza Italia” and the "League" party, which are part of the ruling majority.

Melloni said he was proud that Italy's ruling majority had continued to grow. And then she added that she sees the result as a message from the Italians to her and her center-right coalition to move forward.

Melloni expressed satisfaction that the system in Italy is once again becoming bipolar and that there are two opposing visions. According to her, this is a good thing, because the citizens can declare whose side they are on.

Melloni added that the victory of her right was foretold and her opponents could not stop her. She assured that her party will be able to transform the enthusiasm of the victory into fuel that will drive it in the coming months.

France Press notes that Meloni's election victory could make her one of the strongest leaders in Europe, referring to the situation in France after the Euro vote.
