GERB announced in a position that it will not support a second mandate under any conditions. The formation specifies that their decision remains unchanged with regard to the third folder.
„We find that the differences and opposition between the parliamentary groups in the 50th National Assembly do not create the necessary basis for the formation of a stable government”, GERB states.
The party reminds that immediately after the elections, only they proposed a formula for joint management and shared responsibility - a government with a clear program and management goals, which did not receive support.
„Voters are aware that if you did not accept talks with the first, who won the elections, but offer talks with the second, third, fourth, etc. - this is not reason, but political stubbornness,”, are categorical from GERB.
GERB emphasizes that requests and calls for support for a cabinet with a second or third mandate are aimed at solving party and coalition problems without a principled basis and will not solve important issues for society
„We rely on political maturity in the upcoming election campaign as a prerequisite for forming a government in the next National Assembly”, concludes the party's position.
