BSP will not support the second term, but is ready to mediate for the third term. This was stated by the acting chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov at a briefing quoted by Dariknews.bg.
In his words, they did not request to receive it, but regardless of who received it, they will participate in the talks with the mandate holder. "There should be no prior restrictions, but the conversation should be held with everyone.
"This mandate is a crisis, supra-party, and should be tried to be solved with joint efforts,", he also pointed out.
According to him, there is currently a process of consolidation going on both in the BSP and in the left political space as a whole.
Zafirov pointed out that the decisions of the National Council are being implemented, and preparations are underway for the Buzludzha Council at the end of July, which, according to him, will be the "biggest" so far. A dialogue is underway with other left-wing parties and a memorandum of interaction is expected before it.
He gave an example that they were inspired by the left in Great Britain and France in the parliamentary elections, and he thinks that such a union as a model is also possible in Bulgaria.
Borislav Gutsanov pointed out that it is not normal for the parliament to meet only for hearings. He indicated as a priority to freeze the negotiations for the sale of the equipment of the "Belene" NPP. of Ukraine, because, according to them, there is a problem with the sixth unit of the "Kozloduy" NPP.
He expressed the expectation that they will receive support in the National Assembly, stressing that they do not doubt that the seventh and eighth units of the "Kozloduy" NPP will become operational.
Another problem is the utilization of the funds from the Recovery and Sustainability Plan - Gutsanov pointed out that only 10% was used last year at the time of the official cabinet.
