Even drunk and drugged MPs will be able to write laws

ITN also included alcohol in the study

The Temporary Commission for Drafting Rules for the Activities and Organization of the National Assembly rejected the proposal that MPs be tested for drug use and alcohol.

The proposal of "Revival" required that the representatives of the people undergo twice a year a test for narcotic substances, their analogues or other narcotic substances at their own expense by a medical specialist in the building of the National Assembly.

The idea was that the research would be voluntary, but the refusal or the positive results would be announced in the personal profile of the representative of the people on the institution's website, specified the BNR.

ITN also included alcohol in the study, foreseeing that the chairman of the National Assembly could remove him from meetings if he tested positive.

Deputies from the Temporary Committee re-voted and rejected the proposal adopted at the previous meeting by deputies from the now-defunct PG of "Velichie", which stipulated that during the election campaign, people's representatives should not receive remuneration or use parliament cars.

According to members of the commission, this text is unconstitutional, as recent changes to the basic law indicate that the work of the National Assembly is continuous.
