Boris Bonev: Taki and Majo want to take over Sofia's economy

Scandals in SOS continue

With the decisions voted this week by the Sofia Municipal Council, Sofia's economy will most likely be controlled by Krasimir Georgiev, known as Krasio The black one. Behind Krasyo Chernia are Taki (Christophoros Amanatidis), who owns the underground parking lot under the NDK, and also Magjo (Mladen Mihalev).

This was stated by the leader of the PP/DB/"Save Sofia" in SOS Boris Bonev in front of journalists.

The formation supports Mayor Vasil Terziev, but does not have a majority in the city parliament.

"It is claimed that these are the people who currently have the strongest desire to control the municipal economy,", he commented.

During the week, Bonev also said that the voted reshuffles in municipal companies are aimed at removing from them directors close to the businessman and former municipal councilor from GERB Orlin Alexiev. Recently "Save Sofia" reported that companies related to Alexiev are the main contractor of contracts of the municipal mastodon "Heating-Sofia" during the period in which the company was managed by the until recently executive director Alexander Alexandrov. He resigned after "Save Sofia" presented data that the companies of the woman with whom he lives on a family basis participated as a subcontractor in the execution of these contracts.

We remind you that on Thursday, with the votes of GERB, BSP, ITN and all municipal councilors without political groups, there was a general replacement of the boards of directors in companies of the Capital Municipality in various economic spheres. The author of the report was Carlos Contrera from VMRO, for whom less than 6,000 people voted in the last local elections, but who decided the fate of a municipal economy of over 3 billion BGN.

The Mayor of Sofia

Vasil Terziev will not sign the decision of the so-called economic majority in SOS, which replaced the directors of the six most important municipal companies.

He announced this himself on BNT. Terziev clarified that he is about to return the report for a new discussion and vote in the city parliament. "Let them think again about stamping this outrage a second time. Maybe something will change," commented Terziev. However, the act seems rather symbolic and almost certainly the decision will be confirmed.

"All these companies - "Toplofikatsia-Sofia", CGM, "Metropolitan Transport", "Metropolitan Electric Transport", "Metropolitan" and "Sofinvest", are related to the quality of life of all Sofians. And what happens to the few billions a year that pass through these companies? "Whether they are invested as intended is very important to us," commented the mayor.

"One group, Carlos Contrera and other defenders of the report, say we were in favor of keeping the current guidelines. It's not true, quite the opposite. What we are fighting for is that, within the next 3-4 months, there should be transparent, fair competitions, in which everyone who is interested in how the conditions were made, has full conviction that they are not rigged. We want the best people, regardless of political party or non-party, to be the supervisors and managers of these companies, through which billions pass a year," Terziev said.

"The other group says, "No, we'll change them in the dark.'' We are debating a report worth BGN 2,400. For such a report, 46 people from the municipal council must vote "for" to pass. However, with 31 votes, reports about dark appointments of the people who will rule "temporarily" several billion resources and several times as many assets. And the temporary ones become permanent, because in that report, one small detail is that there is no commitment to a deadline," commented the mayor of Sofia.

On the occasion of Slavi Trifonov's accusations that Terziev and the municipal councilors want to keep the current directors, the mayor commented: "Couch politicians can talk whatever they want, they bear no responsibility. They are not in a fight, let them dispense justice from the sofa.

Regarding the ITN group in SOS, Terziev also took a stand: "All the time until now, ITN explained how they want all changes in the supervision of companies to be made according to the gold standards of good governance.

It was seen that they did it up to the well-known native "standards" for good governance.

BSP also poured out oaths and incantations about how they would change the "GERB model".

We saw how they changed it - first when the commissions in SOS were voted on, and this week for municipal companies. This vote was much more important than the committees," Terziev also said.
