According to NSI data for the month of May 2024, tourists along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast increased by 15.9% compared to last year . Foreigners are 29% compared to last year.
This was stated by the Acting Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev to bTV, quoted by news.bg.
In his words, tourism is an exceptional sector that provides unique opportunities for Bulgaria. The expensive prices of sunbeds and umbrellas are checked with regular checks, Yevtim Miloshev threatened. And assure - the Ministry of Tourism strictly monitors compliance with concession contracts and control over rents and concessions.
Evtim Miloshev was adamant that the sea water is clean, even "a callus appeared on his tongue to explain that there is no problem with the sea water". "Every year I go to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and I really like to travel in the country," Miloshev boasted.
For the temporary parliamentary committee that will investigate the "Historical Park" of Ivelin Mihailov, Miloshev commented that the park is not registered as a tourist site, it is not registered as a place for accommodation, meals or entertainment according to the Tourism Act in the National Tourist Register. There is no cassation with "Historical Park" from the point of view of tourism.
About the awards - it is a fact that the Ministry of Tourism has awarded the site as many as five times, but in the awards system, people vote for different categories. "You give me a reason that as early as this week, but if there is a time horizon, I will appoint a commission to rethink this type of awards. The Ministry should not organize awards, but should distinguish events, objects, things, people and circumstances in a special way", commented Evtim Miloshev.
