"This necessitated a very quick reaction in view of the dynamic meteorological situation and this required us to immediately seek air assistance, which is how we organized our colleagues on the ground,'' said Krasen Georgiev - PSS.
He said it took time to gather the necessary information about the location of the victims so that the helicopter could be directed. Time was also needed to wait for the improvement of the conditions in the mountains.
