We expect President Rumen Radev to hand over the third mandate to form a government. It is not yet clear who will receive the folder, but several parties have already begun discussing what they will do with it if it is placed in their hands.

"The president is the one who has to make the sensible decision and I'm sure he will. One of the possibilities is to hand it over to us - the BSP. If this happens, we will approach it in the most statesmanlike way possible.

This was stated by the chairman of the PG of the "BSP for Bulgaria" Borislav Gutsanov in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

According to him, the third mandate to form a cabinet is different from the previous two.

"They are given to a candidate for Prime Minister, while the third mandate is given to the political party, because the legislator, when adopting the Constitution, provided that if the first two are unsuccessful, then the third must have another platform. He is a type of crisis, and therefore a conversation should be held with each of the political parties," Gutsanov said for Bulgaria ON AIR.

The MP from BSP emphasized that Bulgaria needs a government and it is not normal for the country to go to elections for the seventh time.

"This cabinet should not be political, but should be an expert cabinet of national salvation, of national agreement, and hopefully there will be this type of thinking and dialogue that should be conducted,", noted the guest.

According to him, the BSP should regain the lost electorate and power should return to the left.

"Bulgaria needs a strong left party," Gutsanov was categorical.
