The third term is doomed, said the political scientist

„We should not look for any sensation in the election of President Radev. He could choose between several formations, but for understandable reasons he could not hand the third mandate to “Revival“ – though they wanted it too. It could have been on the DPS – but it is in the process of splitting. There are centrifugal processes in BSP. And as if his reasoning why he gave the mandate to ITN – a party that demonstrates unity – sounds logical.“

This is how political scientist Ivo Injov commented on the president's decision to award the third mandate to ITN.

But it is the sixth, last party in the parliament, which makes the procedure pointless and formal, he added.

According to Indjov, the third term is doomed.

“It is hard to believe that a sustainable government can be established – expertly, as they say from ITN – which is supported with good will and without ulterior motives by the main political players”, the political scientist believes.
