The fire at the pulp plant in Svishtov has been completely extinguished and the situation is under control. It stated in "The Day Begins" Mihail Kochev - member of the board of directors of the enterprise.
Three people were injured after yesterday's explosion. They have cuts from broken glass. They are released for home treatment.
"No emergency measures are required, no pollution in the atmosphere or water. It will take time to recover from the damage. So far there is no information about pollution, there is a monitoring station in Svishtov that has not recorded any change in values. There were also measurements from a specialized laboratory" pointed out Kochev.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the damage and recovery time are yet to be assessed as the plant is currently not operational.
