A signal about a burning building was given at 14:40 on phone 112. According to initial data, the house is old, uninhabited, but there are three more houses next to it.

They are also old, they are mainly built of beams, and this always poses a huge risk of the rapid spread of the fire, reported the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pazardzhik.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene with the fire department on duty in Velingrad, teams of the voluntary formation in the city and of the "Alabak" police station.

Water carriers from the hunting farms "Chepino" and "Rakitovo".

With the joint efforts of firefighters, volunteers and forest officials, the fire was contained.

One house burned down, but the other three were saved, although with less significant material damage to their roof structures.
