Kiril Petkov confirmed for secret talks about the overthrow of Raya Nazaryan. Why didn't the plan work?
"There is no such request and no such proposal at this time. These are simply talks about a possible amendment to the list from which the president can choose the next acting prime minister. It's not so much a matter of the name as it is of being far enough away from the people who influence the election in an unregulated way. Many names were thrown around, but we are too different in these conversations in terms of mentality, as priorities for the country, and we came to the common opinion that there is no point in torturing each other".
This was stated by the deputy from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" Dr. Ivaylo Mitkovski in "Day ON AIR".
According to him, there was nothing secret in the meeting.
"These are the kinds of conversations that include other possibilities. We introduced the possibility for the National Assembly to elect the deputies of the Audit Chamber, and not for them to be appointed by the director or the governor, since they are also an opportunity for an acting prime minister. The conversations were with everyone outside Peevski's DPS. The last elections held by this caretaker government were quite influenced. There are many signals and complaints that remain unproven or swept under the carpet by those who influence the judiciary, the prosecution. It can be seen in the results - how a political force has a strange increase in its results, given that it is ethnic and their electorate has hardly increased, Dr. Mitkovski added to Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to him, the shortage of nurses and midwives can be seen on the backs of all medical specialists.
"One of the good things we have done is today's decision for the Ministry of Health to prepare a strategy in the next 60 days to increase the number of medical professionals - nurses and midwives. What has forced this decision is the dire crisis of this shortage of health care professionals. There is a shortage of at least 20,000 nurses. The good thing we found in talking to the Department of Health and the Department of Education is that they are already working on this. "Without nurses, a ward, a clinic cannot function," commented the deputy.
It is high time, despite all the differences between the parties, to bring out some national priorities to which most political forces should unite, Dr. Mitkovski is categorical.
"I thought that the National Assembly was sick with some acute respiratory disease in the previous National Assembly, but it seems that the problem is getting chronic, which is bad and there is no sure way of treatment. It would be good if somehow we managed to realize that this is not how our country can develop. We are even more exposed to a huge military crisis very close to us and we are wandering from one end to the other, fighting, arguing . For me, the assessment regarding the work of the Minister of the Interior, the work of the Foreign Prime Minister is quite negative. "Minister Kalin Stoyanov should not identify himself with the policemen, because the attacks and criticisms are aimed at him, not at the ordinary policemen and firefighters, but at him for not dealing with the situation and dependence on various political figures," the guest pointed out.
