After the arrest of Iliya Zahariev on February 29, there are no new reports of threats against judge Vladislava Tsarigradska from the District Court - Pleven or her family . This was reported by the prosecutor's office.
The data are from a report prepared by order of the I.F. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, who requested information about any threats against the judge after her hearing before the Supreme Judicial Council on October 15, bTV reported.
The Ministry of the Interior specifies that from 2022, the Main Directorate “Fighting Organized Crime” (GDBOP) is investigating threats to judge Tsarigradska made in January 2020 at a court hearing in Lukovit.
On the case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated in the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, and materials were sent to the District Prosecutor's Office - Lovech. The investigation is ongoing.
Later, on February 19 of this year, new threatening messages were received on the official e-mail of the District Court - Pleven to judge Tsarigradska and her family.
After checking “Cybercrime“ it was established at GDBOP that the threats were sent from an e-mail registered by Iliya Zahariev.
On February 21 of this year, additional messages with threats and insults were sent, again to judge Tsarigradska, this time from a mobile phone.
After an investigation, Iliya Zahariev was detained on February 29, 2024 and charged.
