The Prime Minister and 9 line ministers under parliamentary control

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and 9 line ministers will answer parliamentary questions during the parliamentary control on Friday.

Before that, however, the deputies must consider a Draft Decision on the Establishment of a Temporary Commission on Road Safety Issues, submitted by Manoil Manev and a group of MPs from all parliamentary groups on February 12, 2025. This was listed by dariknews.bg.

During the parliamentary control, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will answer one question asked by Kosta Stoyanov, Daniel Petrov and Yordan Todorov from “Vazrazhdane“ on the government's policies for providing additional amounts of water for irrigation to our neighboring countries Greece and Turkey.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev will answer the question of Hristo Rastashki from MECH regarding ownerless state properties in Switzerland and France.

20 questions were asked to the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov. He will answer from the parliamentary rostrum questions related to the poor operational condition and the need for rehabilitation of the republican road III-208 from the junction for the village of Yabalchevo, Ruen municipality to the town of Aytos; the shortage of drinking water for the residents of the Ruen municipality in the Burgas region; rehabilitation of the republican road III-592 (Momchilgrad – Krumovgrad) – Podkova – Kukuryak – Tokachka – Krumovgrad from km 0+000 to km 67+558; rehabilitation of third-class republican road III-8653 from km 0+000 to 22+500 “Kobilyane – Borovitsa – Dolna Spoluka“, Kardzhali region; condition and need for complete rehabilitation of republican road III-2085 “(Duskotna – Aytos) – Ruen – Preobrazhentsi – Prosenik – Goritsa – (Dyulino – Orizare)“; increasing traffic safety on road I-5 Kazanlak – Shipka, the intersections between road I-5 Shipka, road II-56 and road I-5 between the town of Kran and the village of Hadzhidimitrovo, Kazanlak municipality and construction of roundabouts; expansion of first-class road I-5 – Stara Zagora Airport“ – “Trakia“ motorway, from km 236+323 to km 241+203.53; the construction of the “Ruse – Veliko Tarnovo“ motorway, problems with loess soils and upcoming actions; the condition of the road infrastructure of the Northern Expressway; measures taken by the MRDPW in connection with the problems that have arisen with the water supply in the municipality of Breznik; improving transport connectivity; the expansion of the Sofia Ring Road from “Bratya Buxton“ Blvd. to “Struma“ motorway.

The Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov will answer the question of Andrey Valchev from “BSP-United Left“ regarding the implementation of the “Human Resources Development“ 2021 – Program 2027

There are four questions to the Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev. He will answer the questions of deputies from “Vazrazhdane“ regarding the provision and use of technical means and software for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia during the national external assessment and state maturity exam, as well as regarding the closure of the “Hristo Popmarkov“ National School in the city of Svilengrad.

The Minister of Education will also answer the question of Nikolay Zlatarski from “DPS-New Beginning“ regarding the number of profiled language classes in the Kyustendil district, as well as that of Alexander Ivanov from GERB regarding the implementation of the activities under the approved project proposal “New educational building with gymnasium, canteen and warm connection to 5th primary school “Ivan Vazov“, “Vitosha“ district, Sofia, approved under the Program for construction, extension, upgrading and reconstruction of nurseries, kindergartens and schools 2024 – 2027, adopted by Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 686/04.10.2023.

The Minister of Culture Marian Bachev will answer four parliamentary questions, including the hosting of the 47th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, as well as regarding the illegal actions and violations in the procedure for the dismissal and appointment of an independent member of the Board of Directors of “National Palace of Culture – Congress Center Sofia“ EAD.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov has been asked 7 questions, including about expected investments for the repair and reconstruction of the hydro-ameliorative facilities powered by the Alexander Stamboliyski Dam, the condition of the dams in the Pernik region, etc.

The most questions are addressed to the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov – 22. The Minister of Environment will answer questions regarding the pollution of the waters of the Struma River in the area of the city of Pernik, as well as the construction of a treatment plant and a concrete shaft spillway in the tailings pond “Erma Reka“, as well as the inclusion of municipal air quality stations in the National Air Quality Monitoring System (NAMQMS), etc.

Minister Genov will also comment on the taking of additional measures by the Ministry of Environment and Water regarding pollution on the territory of the Sofia Municipality and dirty air. He will also answer why the Ministry of Environment and Water does not conduct real checks on the audit reports of the Waste Utilization Organization (WMO) for 2022 and 2023.

A number of questions related to unregulated landfills on the territory of the country have also been addressed to the Minister of Environment.

The Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov will answer 8 questions - about providing energy and/or financial assistance to Bulgarians in Moldova and Transnistria, as well as about the reasons that require the reinstatement of Vladimir Malinov as chairman of “Bulgartransgaz“ EAD in violation of the law and the principles of transparency and good governance of public companies, also regarding refusals to pay compensation by energy distribution companies in connection with the interrupted power supply to tens of thousands of households at the end of 2024.

The Minister of Energy will also answer the question from PP-DB MP Martin Dimitrov whether the government intends to take action to renegotiate the contract with “Botas“, as well as the question from Radoslav Ribarski from PP-DB regarding suspended supplies of natural gas through the floating terminal in the city of Alexandroupolis, Greece.

6 questions were addressed to the Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov – regarding the provision of an ambulance for the needs of the Emergency Medical Care Branch – Ruen, acceptance of documents for TELK at the Regional Health Inspectorate – Varna, lack of an Emergency Medical Care team in the territory of Vratsa district, delay and lack of real actions on the modernization of the Emergency Department at the General Hospital – Pazardzhik, construction of a new Emergency Department at the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment “Dr. Ivan Seliminski“ – Sliven, the activities of general practitioners in the municipality of Dupnitsa.

Due to urgent commitments, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov, the Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova and the Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov will not participate in the parliamentary control meeting.
