Protest in front of the hospital in Botevgrad over the child who died in an ambulance

The child from Litakovo arrived at the emergency hospital in a condition incompatible with life, announced "N.I.Pirogov" in connection with the serious case.

Residents of Litakovo and relatives of the 7-year-old child who died in an ambulance gathered for a protest in Botevgrad, reported BNT, quoted by Dariknews.bg. The child was transported for treatment from Botevgrad to Sofia.

The police presence in front of the hospital in Botevgrad has been increased.

Earlier, the discontent blocked the traffic on the Botevgrad junction in both directions, causing a traffic jam.

The teams at "Pirogov" are conducting resuscitation measures, but without result, the medical institution indicates. Investigative actions are underway, with the UMBALSM "N.I.Pirogov" providing and will provide full cooperation to the competent authorities.
The prosecutor's office announced today that an investigation is underway into the case.

On May 3, a 7-year-old girl was admitted to the Botevgrad Emergency Medical Care Branch with abdominal pain, after which the girl was transported to the N.I. Pirogov University Hospital in Sofia. Despite the resuscitation efforts, the child was declared dead.

Under the leadership of the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office, an investigation is underway into a pre-trial proceeding for a crime - causing death as a result of negligent performance of a job or other legally regulated activity, representing a source of increased danger, the prosecutor's office said. An inspection of the scene was carried out, the state prosecution announced.

An expert examination to establish the cause of the child's death has been assigned to specialists from the Clinic of Forensic Medicine and Deontology at the Alexandrovska Hospital, the prosecutor's office also informed.
