In every policy, rights and freedoms are the foundation. And when they are violated, there must be appropriate democratic mechanisms. This was stated by the MEP, nominated by the APS, Ilhan Küçük, in an interview for the program "Panorama’’ on BNT.
He pointed out that everywhere their members and sympathizers "want us to rise up’’.
Political parties need to modernize and for the sake of this conversation we have gathered. Establishing a new party is a long process, but we will continue on our path, said Küçük regarding the process of creating a new party around the people of Ahmed Dogan.
When asked if he would be the chairman of the new formation, Küçük replied that this will be decided by the collective bodies of the party when it is established.
"In a legal sense, it will be a new party, but the ideas will be the same’’, explained the MEP from the "Renew Europe’’ group.
Mr. Dogan is part of the Bulgarian transition, he has always participated in making important decisions. We do not deny him, we continue our battles for equality, rights and freedoms. We have a very long and difficult path ahead of us to restore trust among our members and supporters, added Küçük.
According to him, the MRF made the mistake of allowing people who joined the party only to "enrich themselves’’ and for "talking’’.
From what Ilhan said Küçük agreed that the new party would represent an "open platform, in which all Bulgarian citizens can be members’’, and which would continue to defend the rights and freedoms of everyone in Bulgaria, especially with an emphasis on minority groups in our country.
