The amendments will be proposed by the EPP. Nothing binds us. The Good Neighborhood Agreement and the French compromise, as we call it, will not be bypassed. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov to journalists in parliament.
"I spoke to the foreign minister when he was here and he knows perfectly well what our opinion is. It turned out like this because for 3-4 years, while Bulgaria was in its timelessness, nothing was done and they built a friendship and now they are their driving force. The EPP is not only the largest, but also the most powerful and we will be able to defend our history and our country", the GERB leader revealed.
He thanked all Bulgarian MEPs for being united in their efforts towards the EP and the entry of North Macedonia.
"It is true that if I were prime minister, this would not have happened. How will Viktor (Orban) go against me", he asks.
"He asked me: "Why aren't you prime minister yourself". But this is a personal matter", Borisov added and reminded the media that while he was prime minister, Bulgaria and North Macedonia had much friendlier relations. The PPs came and started opening flights with Skopje. They even flew there once. The systemic error is in these 4 years of timelessness," Borisov said.
"I want to remind you that 5 years ago, the Chancellor of Germany, the President of France, the Prime Minister of Great Britain walked on the Bridge of Love with Me. The enlargement was in Sofia. Suddenly, the bearers of the anti-corruption models appeared. Zhelyazkov is doing everything he can in his power," he specified.
"President Trump deserves to be given what he deserves for pulling the reins on Israel and Iran to start paying attention to what they are doing. This is good, because the war in Iran and the Middle East is something that even Trump considers, from his position as president, to be a dangerous game," Borisov said.
He also commented on Radev. "I just wanted them to go away and he has been answering me for 5 days now", the GERB leader snapped.
Borisov thinks that no work is being done in Sofia and that is the problem.
"How will they split when there is a minister threatened by Bozanov? He was pressured for public procurement. The same thing is said when it comes to the PP and DB.
Not only is this not pleasant to me and does not cause enthusiasm in us, I am looking ahead.
This disintegration and this disbelief and showing of their true nature, next year for the presidential elections, this Euro-Atlantic and democratic space may play a very bad joke on us.
These are hundreds of thousands of deceived people and it is not known whether if they were offered a candidate, there would be enough votes to support him. "I know from the beginning what these guys want - the prosecutor's office, the KONPI and the police. What are they for? To protect themselves and nothing else. I realized that it was pointless to talk to them when they were convincing me that we should separate the judicial system," he concluded.
