The prosecutor's office has charged pop-folk singer Deborah. She was arrested with over 3 per mille of alcohol in her blood after causing an accident near Pomorie yesterday. Her 6-year-old child was also in the car. Deborah Ivanova was caught driving while intoxicated while serving a suspended sentence for the same offense.
She was caught behind the wheel with over 2 per mille in April last year in Sofia.
The singer's car was spotted at the end of the “Trakia“ on the way to Burgas yesterday to meander on the road and a signal was filed with the police by citizens.
Maria Markova, head of the District Prosecutor's Office - Burgas: “Immediately, barrier measures were organized upon detection, but since it happened in a very short time, the traffic accident also occurred“.
The accident occurred on the road between Pomorie and Kamenar district.
The singer attempted to overtake, but crashed into the guardrail. From the impact, her car bounced off and hit the car of Moldovan tourists.
Commissioner Marin Dimitrov, head of the "Security Police and Traffic Police" department at the Burgas Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs: "As a result of the traffic accident, material damage was caused. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. There were children in both cars".
Under the influence of 3.14 per mille of alcohol, Deborah Ivanova put her 6-year-old son in her car. He was secured in a car seat and was not injured. A 2-year-old child was riding in the car hit by the singer. He also escaped without injury. Driving while intoxicated is a repeat offense for the singer.

If the court finds her guilty, the 35-year-old singer will have to serve both her new sentence and the old sentence of 1 year in prison, which was previously suspended.
