A protest for the preservation of the Bulgarian lev is taking place in front of the regional administration building in Montana.
The protesters do not agree with the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria, reports BNT. They claim that preserving the lev is absolutely necessary for preserving Bulgarian sovereignty. According to them, membership in the eurozone is only a mechanism through which other countries will make important decisions for the future of Bulgaria.
The protest will continue with a procession along the central boulevards "Treti Mart" and "Hristo Botev" and will end at the Black Bridge by the Ogosta River in the regional town.
