First photos have appeared from the place where Todor Slavkov died.

Lyudmila Zhivkova's son, who passed away on the day Zhivkova herself passed away, died in a guest house in the Kazanlak village of Asen.

The procedural and investigative actions continue, NOVA specifies.

Meanwhile, the sister of Malak Toshko, as the 54-year-old bohemian was known, confirmed the tragedy.

According to currently unconfirmed information, Slavkov committed suicide.

Todor Slavkov, the colorful grandson of Bulgaria's last communist leader Todor Zhivkov, died suddenly at the age of 54.

His body was discovered on Monday afternoon, July 21, 2025, in a guest house in the Kazanlak village of Asen.

The irony of fate is cruel – Slavkov passed away on the same day that 44 years ago, on July 21, 1981, his mother, Lyudmila Zhivkova, the dictator's daughter and Minister of Culture at the time, also died.
