Tsvetanka Andreeva: The opposition does not understand the purpose of a vote of no confidence and the principles of democracy in general

"I don't think anyone is interested in early elections. It may sound strange, but the ruling party is best prepared for early elections. Ahmed Dogan's new party will hardly be able to overcome the 4 percent barrier," the political scientist also commented

There may be a vote of no confidence, but that is not the most important question, because it is clear that this vote will not pass. The question is how "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" will sit at the same table with the pro-Russian parties and submit a vote together. If they do, it will be difficult for them to explain it to their voters.
This was stated in "The Day Live" on NOVA NEWS political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva, quoted by novini.bg.

"In my opinion, the opposition does not understand the purpose of a vote of no confidence and the principles of democracy in general. The opposition has not said what better it will offer than this government. It is already clear that this government has no alternative. The cabinet is supported by our European allies after we were admitted to the eurozone. Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov's rating is also growing after our admission to the eurozone. The protests against the government have no European support, and the opposition cannot unite. The biggest fears of the PP-DB leaders are that they will be equated with the pro-Russian leaders in our country and the positions of President Radev," she added.
"I do not think anyone is interested in early elections. It may sound strange, but the ruling party is best prepared for early elections. Ahmed Dogan's new party will hardly be able to overcome the 4 percent barrier. President Rumen Radev's theses are very difficult to hold up. There are no attitudes in society for a totalitarian regime and facade democracy," Tsvetanka Andreeva was categorical.
