US President Donald Trump, upon his arrival at the Israeli parliament – Knesset, said that "Hamas" would implement the disarmament plan, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

In a conversation with journalists before delivering a speech to Israeli lawmakers, Trump answered "yes" when asked if the war was over.

The US president hinted that "Hamas" had been given a "green light" to carry out internal security operations in the Gaza Strip, saying that the group wanted "to stop the problems" and "we gave them approval for a period of time".

The Palestinian group, which is supposed to disarm and end its rule in the Gaza Strip under Trump's plan to end the war, deployed internal security forces to parts of the enclave after the ceasefire agreement took effect on Friday, saying its aim was to prevent lawlessness and looting and prevent a security vacuum.

Asked by reporters about reports that "Hamas" was turning into a kind of police force and shooting its rivals, Donald Trump said: "They really want to stop the problems, they've been frank about it, and we gave them approval for a period of time."

"We have nearly two million people returning to buildings that have been destroyed and very bad things could happen. "That's why we want security," the US president explained.

Much of the enclave was reduced to rubble after the start of the war, sparked by Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Over the past two days, the group's security forces have clashed with members of a clan in Gaza City.

The Hamas Interior Ministry issued a statement yesterday offering amnesty to people who participated in illegal gangs, stole humanitarian aid and looted, provided they did not participate in bloodshed.

The remaining 13 living Israeli hostages held by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip, were released and handed over to the Red Cross, DPA reported, citing information from the Israeli media.

A little earlier, Reuters reported that a convoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross is waiting at the second location in Gaza, where the remaining hostages are expected to be released, after "Hamas" released seven hostages early this morning.

"Hamas" released all 20 living Israeli hostages this morning, Israel's national radio and television company reported, quoted by Agence France-Presse.

The release of the hostages took place in two stages. First, seven hostages were released, including Bulgarian citizen Matan Angrest. Then the remaining 13 hostages were released.

The information about the transfer of the second group of hostages by "Hamas" The Red Cross's report was confirmed by the Israeli army.

The Israeli army later said that all 20 live hostages had been handed over to it.

Almost at the same time as the release of the second group of hostages was announced, Reuters reported that buses carrying Palestinian prisoners who were scheduled to be released in exchange for the hostages were leaving Israeli prisons.

Israel launched its military operation in the Gaza Strip after Hamas militants carried out an unprecedented attack on the Jewish state on October 7, 2023.

Israel and Hamas signed an agreement last week to end the Gaza war and release Israelis held hostage by the Palestinian movement in an October 7 attack in exchange for Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.

This is the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.
