Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 102 drones and two Iskander ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force reported, quoted by DPA, BTA reported.
The agency notes that the strikes were carried out despite the talks in the UAE between the two countries and the US that ended yesterday.
According to Ukrainian air defense data, 87 of the drones were destroyed, but there were registered hits in 10 of the Russian strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said, quoted by Ukrinform, that 1,676 apartment blocks in the Ukrainian capital are still without heating as a result of the Russian attacks, although in most of the nearly 6,000 buildings that were left without heating yesterday have now had their heating restored. Temperatures in Kiev dropped below minus 10 degrees Celsius overnight.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said it had intercepted 52 Ukrainian drones overnight. The governor of Russia's Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said Ukrainian missiles had damaged energy infrastructure in the region, which has been experiencing power outages for weeks.
